Alexander Wladigeroff

”Sensational“ (Die Presse, Schaufenster) ” ...incredible trumpeter...“ (Kurier, Freizeit) Alexander Alexandrov Wladigeroff was born on 17.08.1978 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He began playing the trumpet at the age of 9. Alexander has the music in his blood. His grandfather is the famous Bulgarian composer Pantcho Wladigeroff (1899 - 1978 ).

Alexander first studied at the Music Academy in Sofia, which is named after their famous composer grandfather, Pancho Wladigeroff. Alexander honed his skills at the University and at the Conservatorium of Music in Vienna. His classical training enables them to embark on musical adventures, nimbly crossing genre borders along the way.

Alexander is already a well-known entity on the Austrian music scene, having performed at theatres and festivals such as the Salzburger Festspiele, the Burgtheater, the Volkstheater, as well as on the Viennese club scene in such renowned establishments as: Porgy and Bess, Birdland, Jazzland, Jazz Cafe Bird , Reigen and the Szene Wien. Internationally, have notched up concerts in Montreal, Toronto, New York , Berlin,London , Warshaw, Prague, Budapest, Rome, Moscow ,Luxenbourg , Brussel ,Paris and Sofia,Plovdiv ,Varna, Ruse, to name but a few stops on previous tours.

In 2007, the Wladigeroff twins released their debut album ”Wanderer in Love“ (Extraplatte), and in 2011, they released their second Album "For The Greatest and Little Things" (Holophon). He has worked on an extensive list of projects with a broad spectrum of artists, be it in the studio, or live on stage: Carole Alston, Red Holloway, Flip Phillips, Ostbahn Kurti, Peter Maffay, Fatima Spar and the Freedom Fries, Wolfgang Puschnig, Juan Garcia Herreros, Linley Marthe, Vladimir Karparov, Georg Breinschmid , Juan Garcia Hererros , Roberto Quintero , Hector Martinion, Milcho Leviev, Teodossi Spassov, Stoyan Yankulov are just a few examples of noteworthy collaborations.
